Business Spotlight: Schwartz's Greenhouse
Schwartz Greenhouse, located in Romulus, Michigan, was established in 1939. After almost 60 years, they have almost 12 acres of greenhouses within their garden center.
Henry and Mary Schwartz started the greenhouse with no idea how it would grow. As a family they would grow vegetables and bedding plants and sell them at the local market. After friends and neighbors began requesting vegetables and plants, they decided it was time to expand, so they added an additional greenhouse and a small retail space.
All these years later Schwartz Greenhouse, is still family owned and operated and offers a wide variety of plants – from annuals and perennials to herbs and vegetable plants!
